That is why many health experts recommend alkalising the body with the help of some foods which naturally balance the pH value of the body. So, here is a list of such alkalising foods.
Spinach
It is rich in chlorophyll which is an alkalising agent. It is also good for your blood. It also offers fibre, vitamin E, potassium, calcium, vitamin b2, vitamin C, iron, magnesium, folate, manganese, vitamin A, and even vitamin K.
Broccoli
Even broccoli has the reputation for reducing the risk of cancer. It is also good for your digestion, heart health, skin, detoxification, immunity and metabolism. It is alkaline in nature and can be eaten both cooked or raw.
Celery
Even celery is alkaline in nature. It is also rich in vitamin C. The coumarins in it are said to reduce the risk of cancer and the phtalides present in it reduce cholesterol levels.
Cucumber
It contains antioxidants, polyphenols and lots of water to hydrate you. It contains certain compounds (lariciresinol, pinoresinol etc) which can minimise the risk of prostrate, ovarian, uterine and even breast cancers. Cucumber also provides vitamins K and C along with minerals like zinc, iron, manganese, copper, selenium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorous, iron and calcium.

Kale
The next in the list is kale which has very good reputation. It is said to lower cholesterol, fight cancer, detoxify your body and also provide antioxidants. Include it in your diet at least twice a week. It offers vitamin C, A and K. Also, it is rich in chlorophyll. After kale is properly digested, certain compounds present in it turn into cancer-fighting agents.
Bell Pepper
It contains nearly 30 varieties of carotenoids. Apart from carotenoids, it also contains flavonoids and hydroxycinnamic acids too. It can prevent many health issues like type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular issues, inflammation, macular degeneration and even certain types of cancers. It also contains vitamins E, A and C.
Avocado
Though avocado contains fat, most of it is healthy fat. It contains compounds which are anti-inflammatory. It also curbs cancer, cardiovascular issues, and also controls blood sugar levels. Contains beta carotene, alpha carotene, lutein, selenium and many other nutrients.
So, try to include the above foods in your daily diet.
