Tiger Shroff Firing Incident: What Happened In Mumbai's Juhu? Latest Updates
Tiger Shroff was leaving his regular Sunday football game when the evening turned violent. Two men on a motorcycle allegedly fired five rounds near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, injuring the actor's driver and another man standing near his car. The actor was not hit by a bullet.
The Tiger Shroff firing incident, on 18 October, has since pulled in the Maharashtra government, a 15-team police hunt and a gang that says it was behind the attack. Several details are still contested.
Five rounds, one park gate
Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg of Mumbai Police said the incident took place around 7 pm, as Shroff was leaving after a private event. Early reports spoke of three to four rounds and three men on a motorcycle. Later accounts and CCTV footage point to five rounds and two attackers.
Driver Firdosh sustained a bullet injury to his left hand. Both injured men were admitted to hospital. Police and ambulances reached the spot soon after, and the area was cordoned off.
Safe, but not unscathed
Police have maintained that Shroff suffered no gunshot injuries. After visiting the actor's home, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said Shroff had hand injuries from gunpowder and glass shards, and that he and his mother, Ayesha Shroff, were shaken. Photographs from the meeting showed dressings on the actor's shoulder and chest and a bandaged arm.
For a man who holds a fifth-degree black belt in taekwondo and co-founded the mixed martial arts promotion Matrix Fight Night, the image of him bandaged at home is a jarring one. Shroff debuted with Heropanti in 2014 and built his career on action films such as Baaghi and War.
A gang's claim, and what police have not verified

A social media post by people identifying themselves as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The post alleged that Shroff was not heeding the gang's directions and was working with Salman Khan. DCP Garg declined to comment on it.
The same source notes that Bishnoi, jailed in Gujarat, has repeatedly threatened Khan, and that the National Investigation Agency said in 2023 that Khan was on a list of people the gangster had targeted. Police have yet to verify the post's authenticity, and there was no complaint on record from Shroff about threats before the attack.
What the investigation has found so far
The suspects allegedly abandoned their motorcycle outside Andheri (West) railway station and fled towards SV Road. Police suspect they knew Shroff plays football at the park on Sundays and may have waited outside the gate. Investigators are also checking railway footage and exploring escape routes by road, rail and air.
The Mumbai Police have reportedly detained a suspect for questioning, according to a Jansatta report. The detention had not been officially confirmed in the other reports reviewed. The case could move to the Crime Branch.
A pattern Mumbai has seen before
Investigators are examining similarities with earlier incidents allegedly linked to the same gang. In April 2024, a firing outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra led to arrests with Bishnoi gang connections, and Mumbai Police invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act against the accused.
More recently, at least five rounds were fired at the first floor of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's nine-storey building in Juhu around 12:45 am on a Sunday in February, with one bullet striking the glass of a gym. Four people were arrested, and the initial probe pointed to links with Bishnoi gang member Shubham Lonkar.
Politics, and a film industry on edge
Shinde said no gang would be spared. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, and ANI reported that he also called Shroff. The All Indian Cine Workers Association has urged strict action, saying Bollywood needs real protection, while actors including Ranvir Shorey and Poonam Pandey and filmmaker Rahul Dholakia expressed concern.
