How To Lower Your Triglycerides
What are triglycerides? Well, did you ever get your blood tested? If you have seen your blood report, you must have come across the term triglycerides.

Your blood contains fat content. Your body stores some calories in the form of triglycerides for future usage. These triglycerides are stored in the fat cells.
When you overeat, your triglycerides levels tend to be higher. It isn't healthy to get a high number. High triglyceride levels could cause heart diseases. If the number is above 200-499 mg/dL, your triglycerides levels are in unhealthy proportion. The number should be below 150 mG/dL.

Okay, if the number is high, what to do to lower the triglycerides levels? Read on...
Tip #1
Ensure that you workout for at least 3 days a week. Include both cardio and strength training to get the best effect.
Tip #2
Maintain healthy weight. If your weight increases, your triglycerides levels may also increase. Eat healthy and engage in physical activities.
Tip #3
Stay away from alcohol as it is said to raise the triglycerides levels even if you drink moderately.
Tip #4
Avoids foods rich in saturated fat and trans fat. Consume foods rich in mono and poly unsaturated fat. Eat flax seed, walnuts and fatty fish to get omega 3 fatty acids. Use sunflower oil.
Tip #5
If your triglycerides levels are high, completely minimise sugar consumption as much as possible. This is an important step to take.
Tip #6
Eat foods that lower cholesterol levels. Eat legumes and berries for fibre, nuts, avocados for lipids and whole grains, legumes, nuts for sterols.
Tip #7
Quit smoking as it can improve your health on many levels and prevent many health risks.
