Women Car Rally Held In Gurugram On International Women’s Day, Boldsky Collaborates As Media Partner
On the occasion of International Women's Day 2026, a unique initiative celebrating women's confidence behind the wheel took place in Gurugram. The women-centric platform Womanii.com, in collaboration with ACN Network, organized the "Queen of the Road" Women's Car Rally, bringing together women drivers and participants for a meaningful and empowering drive across the city.
Lifestyle platform Boldsky collaborated with the event as the official media partner, supporting the initiative that aimed to promote safe driving, confidence, and independence among women. The rally highlighted how women today are confidently stepping into spaces traditionally dominated by men, including driving and motorsports, while also advocating for responsible road behavior.
A Rally To Challenge Stereotypes Around Women Drivers
The "Queen of the Road" rally was conceptualized to challenge long-standing stereotypes about women drivers and celebrate their growing presence on the road. Over the years, women have proven their capabilities in every field, and initiatives like this rally aim to encourage more women to drive with confidence and pride.
The rally witnessed participation from around 50-60 women, including nearly 25 women drivers, who took charge of the steering wheels and drove along a designated route across Gurugram. The drive was not just about reaching a destination but about sending a powerful message of empowerment and equality.
The event served as a reminder that driving is not defined by gender but by skill, responsibility, and confidence.
Flag-Off From Crowne Plaza Sector 29
The rally began from Crowne Plaza Gurugram Sector 29, where participants gathered early in the morning for registration and vehicle document verification. The atmosphere at the venue was filled with excitement as women from diverse backgrounds prepared to participate in the rally.
Before the drive began, participants were given a detailed briefing about safety protocols and rally guidelines. Organizers emphasized the importance of following traffic rules and maintaining discipline throughout the rally. The rally was officially flagged off by Sapna Yadav and national race driver Bani Yadav, who attended the event as special guests. Their presence added inspiration and encouragement for the women participants.
A Fun Drive Focused On Safety, Not Competition
Unlike traditional car races, the "Queen of the Road" rally was designed as a non-competitive fun drive. The objective was not speed but safety and confidence. Participants were encouraged to enjoy the experience while strictly adhering to traffic regulations.
The rally route concluded at Mansa Grand Banquet Hall in Bhondsi, where participants gathered for the closing segment of the event. The rally was organized under the guidance of experienced rally organizer Sanjay Kaushik, who ensured that participants were properly briefed about the rules, navigation, and safety measures before the flag-off.
By focusing on discipline and safe driving, the rally aimed to create awareness about responsible road behavior while also empowering women drivers.
Strong Support From Partners And Collaborators
The success of the rally was made possible through the support of several partners and collaborators. The event's title sponsor was Paras Hospital Gurugram, while Crowne Plaza Gurugram Sector 29 served as the hospitality partner. The concluding venue was provided by Mansa Grand Banquet Hall, and the event was supported by partners including Aristaa, O'Gardner, Paisley, Surya Ethnic, Pep Mind, Atam Enterprises, and Pixel Eyes.
As the media partner, Boldsky collaborated to highlight the event and bring stories of inspiring women participants to a wider audience. Events like these also reinforce the message that empowerment comes through opportunity, representation, and encouragement.
