Are You Drinking Coffee At The Wrong Time?
Are you drinking coffee at the wrong time? Then it does more harm than good! Read this!
Most of us start the day with coffee. Is that a good habit? Is there a right or a wrong time to drink coffee? Caffeine seems to energise you, right?
But the same caffeine can also cause energy crashes, insomnia and even high blood pressure if it is not consumed wisely.
So, let us take a look at what experts say about the right or wrong time to have a cup of coffee.

Fact #1
What happens if you drink your first cup of coffee in the morning? Well, cortisol is a stress hormone and it tends to be at its peaks between 8am and 9am for most of us. If you drink coffee at that time, your stress levels may increase!

Fact #2
Caffeine may boost cortisol levels and when your natural cortisol levels are high, is drinking coffee a wise decision? Your jitters will increase if you drink coffee between 8-9am.

Fact #3
Another problem is that you may develop tolerance! When your tolerance for caffeine rises, you will need more and more caffeine to feel energetic! That's how you may turn into a coffee addict.

Fact #4
Drink coffee between 10 am and 11:30 am if you really can't live without coffee. During that particular period, your cortisol levels dip. That's a safe time to have a cup of coffee!

Again don't drink coffee between 12pm and 1pm! That's the time your cortisol levels again raise.

Fact #6
After 1 pm, your cortisol levels may again start dipping. If you feel drowsy between 1pm and 5pm, enjoy a cup of coffee. You may feel energetic!

Fact #7
Never drink coffee along with your meal or soon after a meal. That could hamper the absorption of iron in your body.

Maintain a gap of one hour between your meal and coffee intake. This is true especially if you drink coffee that contains sugar and milk. Don't forget this if you are anaemic!

Also, never drink coffee in the evening. That could kill your sleep quality. You may feel restless and may find it tough to fall asleep.
