But sometimes, it could also be a sign that there is something wrong with your cardiovascular system. Consult a doctor if the palpitations result in fainting, sever pain in the chest, dizziness and breathlessness. Here are some remedies.

Tip #1
When you experience heart palpitations, it is better to cough. This could bring the heart back to its rhythm as cough can induce pressure on your chest.

Tip #2
Breathe deeply. Breathe slowly. Focus on the breathing process. This could slow down your fast beating heart.

Tip #3
As stress is the main reason behind palpitations, try meditation. It can relieve you from stress and reduce the recurrence of palpitations.

Tip #4
Close your mouth and nose and try to breathe out. This method can also bring your heart back to its regular rhythm.

Tip #5
Certain essential oils like lavender oil can relax you instantly. Try aromatherapy. But if you are allergic to aromas, avoid this remedy.

Tip #6
Even fatigue could cause palpitation problems. So, get enough sleep as a preventive measure.

Tip #7
Eat fish to get more of omega 3 fatty acids as they are said to protect your heart and prevent palpitations.
Firstly, consult a doctor as all the above tips may not cure heart palpitations. You may need to work on your lifestyle and food choices. Your doctor will tell you about that.
