The chemical substance present in a non-stick cookware goes into the food that you are cooking in it. Non-stick Pan
Cooking in a non-stick pan is very harmful for your health. The coating present in a non-stick pan is made from a substance known as perfluorooctanoic acid. When the pan is heated, this substance goes into the food and enters the body. It is known to cause tumours.

Safe Alternative: Cast Iron
Cast iron vessels are a safe alternative to use instead of the non-stick cookwares. It also provides you with nutrients, such as iron, that enters the food and your body thereby gets the iron from it. Hence, you must replace your non-stick pans with cast iron pans.

Copper Vessels
Copper and nickel vessels can be harmful for you. When the copper and nickel vessels are heated together they produce many toxins that enter the food and then the body.

Safe Alternative: Stainless Steel
Stainless steel can be a safe alternative to use instead of copper vessels. You must make sure that it is free for nickel. Stainless steel vessels distribute heat evenly, so they also require less heat during the cooking process.

Aluminium
We may prepare tea in aluminium vessels. They must be avoided for a long cooking process, as they may leach excess aluminium into the food and pose a risk of Alzheimer's disease. They are; however, less toxic then a non-stick cookware.

Safe Alternative: Ceramic
Ceramic, also known as bone china, is safer for your health. The cups and other vessels made from ceramic do not pose any health issues. You can make tea in your ceramic cup in a microwave oven as well.

Plastic Containers
Heating food in plastic containers in a microwave can be harmful for you health. IT makes the food toxic as the toxic substance called as bisphenol A (BPA) present in the plasctic goes in the food.
This can increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease and causes weight gain. Avoid heating and storing foods in plastic container to protect yourself from harmful effects of plastic.

Vessels Containing Lead Are Very Dangerous
You must enquire about the presence of lead in your cookware. Lead can be added in any cookware to give it a uniform colour and shine. However, the chances of lead in the cookware are less, but you must be aware of the same.
