Pakoras, hot dogs, meat balls are all very fattening foods and they will make you put on weight that you will become evident at the end of the season.

3. Creamy Soups: Cream of onion, cream of chicken or cream tomato soups are an accepted part of our menu for a winter table. While we assume soups to be healthy and low fat options, cream based soups are actually making us fat. Go for clear unsweetened soups if you are on a diet in winter.

4. Pies: Meat pies like Kiev and Keish are recipes that are specifically devised for the cold months. In between festive dinners for Christmas and Thanksgiving you will be eating quite a few pies. Being baked and buttered they aren't exactly diet food.

5. Cheese: Many winter foods contain cheese in disproportionate amounts. Be it your pies or cheesecakes or any other winter delicacy, there is cheese to top it up. While it is rich in milk proteins and less fattening than butter, there can be such a things too cheesy.

6. Red Meats: We move towards meat, specially red meats like mutton, beef, etc., during the cold months as they are warming foods. They will produce heat in your body to beat the cold weather but if you not go for lean cuts, the saturated animal fats from red meat will saturate your arteries too.

7. Desserts: Winter is the best time to enjoy confectioneries. Glazed croissants, muffins, cream cakes and pastries only the beginning. The coldest month December is also the festive month of Christmas so if you don't watch your dessert potions, your weighing machine will.
