Initial Signs Of Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is generally caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). This cancer starts in the cervix. Some of the factors that increase the risk of this cancer are: engaging in unsafe intercourse practices with multiple partners, obesity, smoking, oral contraceptives, pregnancy and even genetic factors.

Generally, the symptoms of cervical cancer are not so evident in the beginning stages and therefore it is tough to diagnose it. But as the cancer spreads to intestines or liver, symptoms start showing up.

That is why it is better to consult a doctor when you see certain abnormal symptoms. If the problem is detected in early stages, treatment becomes comparatively easier. So, here are some symptoms....
Sign #1
Smelly vaginal discharge that occur frequently could be due to an infection. But it could also indicate cervical cancer especially if it is heavy and smelly and comes with blood.
Sign #2
Severe pelvic pain for prolonged duration could be one sign. This kind of a pain could occur without any link with the monthly cycles.
Sign #3
If you experience pain while passing urine, it could be a sign. A burning sensation might need medical attention. Though such a pain could also be due to other minor reasons, consult a doctor to rule out the possibility of cervical cancer.

Irregular bleeding could be one sign that indicates that something is wrong. Bleeding that isn't your period could be due to several reasons. Visit a doctor to diagnose the reason.

Heavy bleeding during periods could also be a sign. If your periods are painful, too long and irritating visit a doctor.

Sudden weight loss is also a sign. When the body starts fighting cancer, losing weight is a common symptom. Though weight loss may not always indicate cancer, it is better to rule out the doubts by consulting a doctor.

If you experience severe pain while participating in intercourse, it could be due to cervical cancer. In fact this occurs when the cancer has spread in certain places of your privates.
