1. Take two small pieces of fresh ginger and then peel it properly.
2. Crush the ginger.
3. Add the crushed ginger to a pan containing two glasses of water.
4. Boil the water containing crushed ginger. Bring it down to simmer and then allow it to boil for about 10 minutes.
5. Strain the ginger and then drink the water in the form of tea.
6. Drink it twice or thrice a day when you have menstrual cramps.
A note of caution: If the pain persists for a longer period of time then it could be due to endometriosis or ovarian cysts as well. Hence, in such conditions it is better to seek the opinion of a doctor. Also, those who are under blood-thinning medication should avoid ginger or take it up only after consulting a doctor.
