Liver damage is a serious symptom of liver diseases that comes in various forms such as hepatitis B, C and A, alcoholic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, fatty liver diseases, etc.
These disorders can affect the normal functioning of the human liver and lead to the damage of that organ.
Liver disease or damage is caused either by viral infections, inflammation of the liver due to alcohol abuse, accumulation of excess fat in the liver, etc.
When the cells of the liver die, due to any of the above-mentioned reasons, it results in a damage that could be permanent and fatal if not treated at the right time.

Most of us tend to ignore to check the consistency and colour of our stools and urine on a regular basis. However, professionals advice that you can keep a track of these things regularly, as the colour and consistency of your excreta can be a sign of a certain disease.
If your urine is dark and foamy and your stools are liquid-like and pale, then you must get yourself checked for liver damage.

Acid reflux is normal if it occurs once in a while, after consuming a lot of unhealthy foods. However, if you are constantly being affected by acid reflux, with no apparent reason and if it is coupled with nausea and vomiting, then it may be a sign of liver damage.

If you are suffering from severe itching of the body, when you have no allergies or skin issues, it may be a tell-tale sign of liver damage that needs an immediate medical attention.
