It's 40 weeks already and your labour is nowhere in sight. If the pregnancy has crossed 38-40 weeks, then it is called an overdue pregnancy.

Pineapple is a fruit that can be very useful in inducing labour. It helps in dilating the cervix and also helps in contracting the uterus. Pineapple also contains a compound called Bromelain which can help induce labour with ease.

Taking a portion of pineapple every day helps in inducing labour. But, be cautious about taking a pineapple in the early stages of pregnancy, as it may cause a possible miscarriage.

Garlic is one of the time-tested Ayurvedic herbs used for inducing labour. Garlic helps in stimulating the bowel, which thereby triggers the contraction of uterus and in turn causes labour.

You can take a good amount of garlic in your diet for inducing labour. But, be careful, as too much of garlic can cause diarrhoea as well. You could check with your doctor first before taking this.
