Vitamin B9 or Folic acid is important in the production of red blood cells. Consuming foods rich in Folic acid can help in enriching your blood. Some examples of such foods are spinach, kale, nuts, peas and cereals.

Lack of Vitamin B12 may also affect the production of red blood cells. Consuming fish, eggs, beef liver and dairy products may help.
