Most often people quote this phrase, 'whatever one likes is either unhealthy or too expensive or married to someone else'. But when it comes to seafood, this saying fails to hold good. Seafood are healthy and delicious too. That is surely a rare combination. Another added bonus is that these healthy seafood is easy to cook. In fact they do not need much cooking at all. Could you ask for any better when it comes to heart healthy foods?
That is right; seafood is heart healthy because they contain good cholesterol or omega-3-fatty acids. So if fish is cooked in the right way, it is extremely heart healthy. Some of the healthy seafood like prawns and oysters also come under the category of calcium rich foods. Calcium rich foods are a necessity for women who are have weak bones.
Some of these healthy seafood are also rich in zinc. Now zinc is a trace mineral and it is rarely found in our daily foods. Zinc rich foods are essential for men because it regulates their testosterone levels. So basically seafood is healthy for both men and women.

Salmon
This fish is called the memory food. The good fats along with Vitamin A and D in salmon keeps the nervous system in good working condition.

Oysters
Oysters are rich in both calcium and zinc which is why they make great foods for both men and women.

Trout
Trout is actually an oily fish but it is filled with healthy omega-3-fatty acids. So you can have it blanched or boiled. Just don't fry it.

Crab
Crabs have a high sodium content, so cook them without salt. They are rich in omega-3-fatty acids and also has plenty of healthy proteins.

Scallops
They have almost zero fats and lots of yummy proteins. Have scallops to fill your belly because it won't make you fat.

Prawns

Sardines

Catfish

Crayfish
You find a rare combination for selenium, manganese, copper, phosphorus and vitamin B12 in this fish. Vitamin B12 is very essential for proper functioning of the nerves.

Haddock
