Here Is What You Have To Do If You Wake Up With A Stomach Pain

Imagine, first thing in the morning, you experience a bad stomach ache, that can ruin your entire day, not to mention, scare you about the impending health complications.

Stomach pain is one of the most common ailments experienced by people, regardless of age and gender.

Right from newborns to old aged people, each one of us would have experienced some type of stomach pain, at least a few times in our lives.

Now, there are numerous types of stomach pains, that can be caused by various reasons.

One of the most common causes for a stomach pain is gastritis, or the accumulation of gas in the stomach, that applies a pressure on the internal muscles and tissues, causing pain.

Menstrual cramps, indigestion, acidity, stomach ulcers, constipation, colon cancer, unhealthy eating, etc., are also some of the causes for stomach pain.

So, here are a few tips to follow when you wake up with a stomach pain.


Tip #1

If you are feeling a dull pain, in the morning, in your lower abdomen, drink some water and try passing stools, as constipation could be causing it.


Tip #2

Avoid drinking coffee if you already have a stomach pain in the morning, because the caffeine content in coffee may increase internal inflammation and further worsen your pain.


Tip #3

If you have a sharp pain in the mid-region of your tummy, it could be from gastritis. Try drinking hot water, mixed with ginger and jeera powder to find quick relief.


Tip #4

If your stomach pain is mild, try performing mild exercises in the morning, as sometimes, exercising can release the gas accumulated in the stomach and ease away pain.


Tip #5

If you feel like your gastritis is causing you too much distress, then you could always take an anti-gas drug or an antacid that can provide relief from gas and bloating.


Tip #6

You can also try placing a hot water bag on your stomach, as it can reduce inflammation and thus reduce stomach pain.

If your stomach pain in the morning still persists, after taking the drugs, then it is important to call your doctor immediately and go in for tests, to analyse what the problem could be.
