Trending Hairstyles At Cannes 2013
Cannes Film Festival is considered the epitome of culture and fashion. Whatever is worn on the Cannes red carpet becomes a fashion statement immediately. Even it comes to jewellery, makeup and hairstyles. Some very fashionable hairstyles have been trending at Cannes 2013.
It started with the cool new Mohican ponytail sported by Nicole Kidman at the opening ceremony of Cannes 2013. Since then, we have seen one dazzling hairstyle after another on the Cannes red carpet. All the celebrities displayed hairstyles that were innovative and stylish. Some of these hairstyles at Cannes were improvised forms of old hairstyles. For example, the beehive bun hairstyle sported by Marion Cortillard was a rage in the 60s. Marion re-discovered it on the Cannes red carpet recently.
Some of hairstyles we have seen at Cannes 2013 are truly novel. For example, the wreath bun hairstyle sported by Ash or the dramatic curls sported by Nicole Kidman are hairstyles we have never seen before.

Ash sported a sculpted top knot with her Gucci Premiere teal gown. This top knot was slightly twisted and curled in layers.

Fishtail Plait
Cheryl Cole set off her low back gown to advantage by tying a rough fishtail plait with 3 rubber bands.
Braided Bun
Freida Pinto sported a stunning and intricate hairstyle with her pink gown. Her hair was first braided and then styled into a tight bun on the top of her crown.

Sonam Kapoor is known for a her smooth and lady like style. She curled her hair intricately and then tied a voluminous bun lower down on her crown.

Fringes, especially side fringes always work magic. So, Ameesha Patel tied a net bun leaving some loose side fringes to add a touch of sensuality to her look.
Wearth Bun
Aishwarya Rai has tried this perfect Greek hairstyle to complete her ethnic Indian look. She styled her hair into a neat bun and wore a white wreath on her crown.
