Egg Palya Recipe: How To Prepare Egg Palya At Home
Egg palya is a unique mix dish of both North and South India that is prepared as a side dish. Here is a video recipe. Read and follow the step-by-step procedure containing images.

The egg palya is a unique mix dish of both North and South India that is prepared as a side dish. Any palya is originally a South Indian dish served as a part of the whole meals. The egg palya can be served with roti, chapathi or parathas. It can also be eaten with rice.
Egg palya is made of boiled eggs along with vegetables like capsicum and tomatoes. Different vegetables can be added according to one's preference. Tomato-based gravy usually goes well with egg recipes.
Egg palya is all about the right masala and proper seasoning. The kasuri methi in the dish makes it much more palate pleasing. This dish can be prepared at home in a jiffy. It is an exclusive dish to prepare without any mess.

Eggs - 3
Capsicum - ½
Tomato - 1
Oil - 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Salt -1 tsp + ¾th tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
Kitchen king masala - 1 tsp
Coriander - 1 tsp (chopped) + for garnishing

1. Add eggs in a saucepan.
2. Add enough water for the eggs to be completely immersed in.
3. Add a teaspoon of salt and allow it to hard boil for 15 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, take a capsicum and cut into half.
5. Cut the top portion as well.
6. Remove the white part with the seeds inside.
7. Further, use only half a capsicum and cut it into small pieces.
8. The top portion of the capsicum can still be used by just cutting off its stalk.
9. Take a tomato and remove the top hard part of it.
10. Cut it into a vertical half and further cut the half tomato into another half.
11. De-seed the tomato with a knife.
12. Further, cut it into medium sized pieces.
13. Now, add 4 tbsp of oil in a heated saucepan.
14. Add the cut capsicum and tomato.
15. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and a teaspoon of jeera powder.
16. Add a teaspoon of both salt and red chilli powder.
17. Fry the masala well.
18. Then, crush the kasuri methi between your palms and add it to the masala.
19. Now, take the boiled eggs and slit them into half.
20. Further, cut them into medium slices.
21. Add the egg slices in the fried masala.
22. Add ¾th teaspoon of salt and mix well.
23. Finally, add a teaspoon of both, kitchen king masala and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well.
24. Transfer it in a bowl.
25. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve.
