5 Easy Ways To Curb Baby’s Biting Habit
You all must have seen the cute His Royal Highness Prince George's first official visit to New Zealand on Twitter. While the world was busy cooing over the cute prince and admiring his mother's excellent taste in clothes, they missed the fact that Prince George is teething. Why else would he be trying to bite a chunk out of Mommy's hair. Coming to the point, even cute babies can have a biting habit.
Your baby's biting habit is nothing to be embarrassed about. All babies bite and you have to train them not to do this so that they grow into well-behaved toddlers. However, you cannot discipline a baby for biting habit. He/she is too young to understand that it hurts you. To stop the baby from biting, you need to think of smarter tricks.
HOW TO STOP NAIL BITING IN KIDS
Don't allow your baby's bad habits to grow. And do not go into panic mode about your baby's biting habit. Be neutral and try these ways to curb your baby's biting habit.

Teething Toys
Usually, biting is a sign of teething in babies. Babies bite things because their gums itch and hurt when the teeth spurt out. Give your baby teething toys after consulting with your doctor. There are different kinds of teething toys like rings and gel filled ones.
Do Not Scold
Your baby is too young to understand a scolding. But the startle reaction will confuse him or her. It is best not to yell at babies for what comes naturally to them.
Massage The Gums
Massage your baby's gums with your fingers. This helps to soothe their itching gums and their tendency to bite other things come down.
Express Emotion
When your baby bites you, you can make a sob face and say ‘no'. Babies understand emotions better than words. If the baby realises that the bite hurts mommy or daddy, he or she might not do it again.
Don't Encourage Biting
Some parents do not mind their baby's biting habit as long as their own hands and mobile phones are safe. You will often see that they snatch the remote control from their baby's teeth and replace it with a toy. You are selling the wrong idea to your baby. It means, you can bite as long as you are biting something that is not dangerous or expensive.
You have to understand that biting things is a natural process of growing up for kids. So you need to curb it but with a gentle hand. There is no need for strict disciplinary action against a biting baby.
