All About The Temple…
In this famous temple, it is Lord Venkateshwara who is the main deity here. He is also known as the great "Visa-granting Balaji"! This ancient temple is situated near the banks of the Osman Sagar lake.

The History Behind The Temple…
It is said that during the 1980s, there were a couple of students who had been facing rejection at the Chennai US Visa Consulate and they had visited the place where they prayed and to their luck, their wishes were fulfilled. Since then, the temple has acquired the reputation of granting the elite American Visa and making the process smooth flowing.

How Does It Work?
There is a specific way on how the lord is pleased in the temple. The Visa aspirant is supposed to visit the Chilkur Visa Balaji temple before the Visa interview. Once the devotee visits, he goes through the usual ritual of prayer where he is supposed to do 3 rounds of Pradakshina (walking in circles around the temple). Apart from this, the aspirants need to make a vow that after getting the Visa, they would come back to the temple and take 108 rounds around the temple. This is a way to show gratitude to the Visa God.

It's Not About The Money Here…
Visiting this temple is hassle free, as everything here is for free and the temple is quite strict about not taking any money that is being offered here. It is one of the amazing temples that is growing in popularity.
