Eating THIS Common Food Can Help Prevent Heart Attacks In The Future!
Just a handful of these foods every day can keep your heart happy and safe!
A popular quote goes like this, "With a healthy heart, the beat goes on."
If we look at the quote more closely and understand the metaphor behind it, it basically means to say that if a person has a healthy heart, then his/her life would go on smoothly, at least when it comes to the health part!
Most of us can surely agree, right? That's because good health is one of the most important assets any living being can possess.
Without good health, your life cannot be enjoyed to the full extent at all, no matter how wonderful the other aspects of your life are!
For example, if you are suffering from an incurable disease like diabetes, then you will have to give up on your favourite foods and also, you may not be able to indulge in some of your favourite activities like adventure sports, etc., due to low energy levels.
While some diseases are minor and may just take a while to go away and may not disrupt your daily activities too much, there are other diseases that can completely alter the quality of your life!
Now, we know that the human body is composed of many organs and tissues, including the vital organs. Without the proper functioning of even one of the vital organs, a person can be affected by fatal diseases!
Heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and the brain are the vital organs in the human body and even if one of them is damaged in the slightest or becomes weak, it could cause a lot of major health issues, including fatal conditions such as heart attacks!
As we know, our diet plays a key role when it comes to our health.
So, recently a research study has found that eating nuts on a daily basis can prevent heart attacks.
See how and why that happens, in this article.
Link Between Nuts & Heart Attack Prevention
As we know, nuts are extremely nutritious and yet tasty, unlike a lot of other healthy foods, right?
Nuts are added to garnish dishes, to add more flavour to certain dishes and they can also be consumed raw or in roasted forms.
Some of the most popular nuts are cashew nuts, almonds, groundnuts, pistachios, walnuts, chestnuts, etc.
Now, although each different kind of nut comes with its own specific health benefits, there are certain health benefits which are common with all nuts.
For example, almonds can help build muscles and pistachios can aid weight management.
However, both pistachios and almonds can improve your immune system to keep diseases away.
As we may already know, a heart attack or cardiac arrest is a dangerous condition in which there is a blockage of blood flow to the muscles of the heart, so the heart loses oxygen and blood and stops functioning.
In many cases, a heart attack can lead to immediate death.
Heart attacks are usually caused by fat or cholesterol plaque which can clog the arteries and block the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart.
A recent study published in The Journal Of The American College Of Cardiology says that consuming a handful of nuts on a daily basis can prevent heart attacks.
The study says that since most of the nuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, they have the ability to naturally lower your cholesterol levels and dislodge the plaque accumulated in your arteries, thus making the flow of oxygenated blood to the heart much easier.
The above action helps prevent heart attacks and other heart diseases.
So, consuming a handful of nuts on a daily basis can help keep your heart healthy!
