Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana (Standing Split) To Stimulate Liver & Kidneys
The liver and the kidneys are the two vital organs of our body. Any damage to or malfunctioning of any of these organs affects the normal functioning of the body. If not taken care of on time, it might turn fatal as well.
It is the kidneys which remove the waste and toxic substances from our body and help in maintaining the overall health of the entire system.

Step-by-step Procedure To Perform Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana:
1. Stand straight. Slowly lift one foot up and keep the other grounded on the floor.

2. Lower your hands as well as the torso and face the floor.
3. Your body weight should rest on the leg that is grounded on the floor.
4. See to it that your pelvis is parallel to the floor.
5. The legs and the knees should be straight.
6. If the hands are short and do not reach the floor, use blocks.

7. Move your hands ahead of the foot and all your body weight should rest on the foot and the hands that are placed on the floor.
8. Hold the ankle of the leg with your hands.
9. Take a deep breath and remain in the position for about a minute.
10. Repeat the same with another leg.
