7 Ways To Cool Your Body In Summer
It's mid April and you really don't know how to go about with the soaring temperatures. You’re feeling hot, as your body tends to get heated up during summer due to the scorching heat.
Summers are considered nightmarish, especially due to the sweltering heat. When we hear of summer, the only thing that strikes to our mind is to plan a holiday and head off to a cooler destination, as intense heat and humidity can turn out to be unbearable.

So, don't worry about summer heat, as it is indeed possible to cool down your body even during the hot temperatures.
When things heat up outside, make sure to find ways to simmer down physically, mentally and emotionally.
Summer time can be a blast for the kids, especially because they enjoy their two months of vacation while adults whine about the heat most of the time.

Staying cool doesn't come that easy, it means you need to take care of your body when it is super hot outside. Yet, to get a relief from the scotching heat of the sun, make sure to learn the 7 ways to cool your body in summer.

1. Avoid Salty Food
Your body tends to heat up during summer. Eating spicy curries and caffeine are a few foods that you need to avoid, since they can increase heat internally (heat up your body).
Summer can never have a cooling effect on your body if you're going to rev it up with spicy or salty food. Never opt for more chillis or hot peppers. Avoid foods like cheese and sour cream, as it can add too much heat to your body. More importantly, stay away from spinach, tomatoes, onion and garlic, as these can affect your body, predominantly your metabolism and digestion.

2. Stay Hydrated
No, I'm not talking about aerated drinks. Water is the greatest drink for hydration. Or, if you hate drinking water then sip iced tea, lemonade or sports drink. If you have been exercising outside, then try to pick a sports drink instead of an aerated drink, as they can be the best bet for your health. They can even substitute the chloride, sodium and potassium that you lost while sweating.

3. Dress For The Weather
It is better to wear the right clothes during the hot summer months if you want your skin to breathe easy. It is important that you dress yourself in loose-fitting light-coloured outfits during the hot days, so as to cool your body and feel relaxed.

4. Light Exercise
If you love working out, then try to do it at the time of the day when the weather is cool. Early morning is the best. The second best time to exercise is evening. Always choose light exercise like yoga, walking and swimming during summer to cool down the temperatures of your body.

5. Slather A Cooling Mask
Easiest way to cool your body is to replace your usual moisturiser with cooling aloe vera, as this can lower your skin temperature. Using aloe vera on your skin regularly can cool your body in soaring temperatures.

6. Sunscreen
Whether your complexion is ivory or espresso, you still need to apply sunscreen to protect your skin from the extreme heat of the sun. It is important that you apply the perfect SPF, so as to prevent your skin from developing brown spots and skin discolourations. If your skin is burned due to the heat, then use outrageous amounts of aloe vera to protect it.

7. Cotton Pillows
Getting a good night's sleep during hot summer can be problematic, as it requires a lot of preparation. Use a cotton pillowcase instead of opting for synthetic pillows, as the latter retains heat. If you are feeling the heat during the night, then try to opt for cotton pillows, as they are an easy and effective way to cool your body.
