Reasons You Need Regular Blood Tests
Many people are scared of blood tests and try to avoid them at all costs. However, avoiding regular blood tests may not be the wisest thing to do. There is also another set of people who go for blood tests only when they are sick or the doctor advises them to do so. Now you may not fall seriously ill for year; that does not mean that you don't need routine health check-ups.
Regular blood tests are the best way to gauge your health condition. That is why blood tests are a major part of routine health check-ups. Certain diseases that do not have outwardly symptoms can be easily detected by blood tests. For example, HIV is an infection that can only be detected by blood test.

These are some of the blood tests that you need to get done.
Blood Count
A total blood count will tell if all your body's vital stats are good. Your hemoglobin count will tell you whether you are anemic. Your platelet count will tell you if you have any blood clotting problems. And your white blood cell count will tell you if there is an infection in your body.
Infections
If you have any infections like hepatitis or syphilis, it can be detected only by regular blood tests. These are diseases that do not show any outwardly symptoms.
HIV
The deadly human immunodeficiency virus can be found only by regular blood test. It might take years for you to start showing symptoms of AIDS. But an early blood test can help you deal with this issue properly.
Blood Sugar
Diabetes can be difficult to detect at times because its symptoms are so common. However, regular blood tests will tell you if your blood sugar levels are consistently high.
Thyroid
Many young people are falling prey to thyroid gland malfunctioning due to their unhealthy lifestyles. So if you have the symptoms of thyroid, get blood tests done regularly.
Cancer
Cancer can often be detected from normal blood tests. If your hemoglobin count is abnormally low or your white blood cell count is very high, it could indicate carcinoma or a cancerous growth in your body.
These are some regular blood tests that might save your life. Do you go for routine health check-ups?
