First aid tips are essential knowledge for everyone. We need to know how to give first aid for our own sake and also of the others. Sometimes, first aid is what makes the difference between life and death. It is the first form of medical help that a patient can receive in an emergency situation. Today, 11th September, is World First Aid Day. The significance of this day is truly great.
On World First Aid Day, many essential first aid tips are propagated among kids and young people. In fact, everybody should learn these first aid tips for emergency situations. Important first aid tips like mouth to mouth respiration can keep a person alive until you get more expert medical help.
So, here are some first aid tips that every person should know about.

CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
When a person suddenly collapses after complaining of chest pain, it could mean a heart attack has occurred. In some cases, the heart may even stop functioning temporarily. CRP is a technique to apply pressure on the heart with your hands and make it start pumping again.
Mouth To Mouth Respiration
Sometimes, when a person is drowning or has an asthma attack, mouth to mouth respiration can help you restart their breathing again. All you have to do is place your mouth on the patient's mouth and breathe into it.
Burns
A person who has severe burns should first be wrapped up in a blanket to stem the fire. Then give a cold compress on the burn or keep it under running water. In case of second degree burns, you must cover it up with gauge immediately.
Cuts
If a person gets a deep cut, then first wash it with anti-septic and then tie it up tightly to stem the blood flow. You could also raise the part of the body that has been cut to stop the bleeding.
Stings
Animal stings are easy to deal with provided you have the right first aid tips. In case of common things like bee stings; rub a key on a coarse surface. Then use the warm key to press the wound and pick out the sting.
Choking
When a person is choking because they have swallowed some large, then give them blows on their back. This helps to release the object stuck in the throat and re-start breathing again.
Fainting
A person usually faints due to low blood pressure or sugar. In such cases give the person sugar or chocolate to eat and plenty of water to drink.
