These 5 Neck Stretches Help Ease Neck Pain Instantly

Are you in a job where you need to sit and work continuously for about 7-8 hours? Then for sure neck pain is your constant companion. If neck pain is troubling you every other day, then you need to get it checked immediately.

For conditions like this the best way to get rid of the pain is to try a few simple stretches. In this article we will be explaining about a few stretches to treat neck pain.

The major causes of neck pain are bad sitting position or injury caused due to an accident. Also in the recent times neck pain is on the rise due to continuous usage of gadgets like mobile phones and tablets with the head bent down.

As soon as we get neck pain, what most of us do is apply a pain balm or have a painkiller. Well, this might provide relief for a while. But popping in a painkiller every time you have a neck pain is not healthy at all.

So stretches and exercises are all natural ways to ease neck pain, that do not have any side effects.

Here are a few stretches that help to get rid of neck pain quickly. Take a look.


1. Neck Turns:

Turn your neck towards your left, take a deep breath and then slowly turn it towards your right side. Do this about five times on each side. It helps in providing quick relief. This can be done while you are sitting at your office.


2. Neck Long Turn:

Keep your neck long in such a position that your chin touches your chest. In the same position slowly turn towards your right ear and then towards your left ear. Repeat it for about 5 times on each side.


3. Stand Neck Stretch:

Stand straight with your feet wide apart. Slowly bend your right ear towards your right shoulder and then get back straight. Then again bend your left ear towards your left shoulder. Do this for 6-7 times on each side. It helps ease neck pain quickly.


4. Back Neck Stretch:

Put your hands on the back. Hold your left hand tight with your right hand. Slowly bend your right ear towards your right shoulder. Change your hand position and do the same on the other side. This will help provide relief from neck pain.


5. Clasp Neck Stretch:

Sit comfortably and then clasp your palms right behind your head, pull them gently towards your thighs and intensify the stretch. Hold on for a few seconds and then release. Do this about 4-5 times in a sitting position. It helps ease the pain.
