Take a glass of warm water, add a teaspoon of salt and gargle using this water. It helps in soothing the throat and provides relief from the infection.

3. Licorice Tea:
Take a small piece of licorice root and boil it along with water. Strain it and then drink like tea. It helps provide relief from upper respiratory infection.

4. Eucalyptus Leaves:
Add a few eucalyptus leaves to boiling water. Keep boiling it for a while and then inhale the steam. It helps in reducing the symptoms of throat pain and respiratory infection.

5. Turmeric:
Add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder to a glass of warm milk and then drink it, preferably before going to bed. This is one of the best natural remedies to get rid of respiratory tract infection.

6. Asafoetida:
Add a bit of asafoetida to a glass of milk and then drink it. This has proved as one of the best natural cures for respiratory infection.

7. Onion Juice:
Add a teaspoon of honey to about three teaspoons of onion juice and then have it. This helps in soothing the throat and providing relief from respiratory infection.

8. Garlic Oil:
Add a few drops of garlic oil and a bit of onion juice to a glass of water and drink it. Used since ancient times this has been considered as one of the best natural home remedies for upper respiratory infection.
