What To Eat On Weekends
Most of us plan our diets during the weekdays but we wish to keep the weekends as cheat days. That is in fact a good idea because you will get some time to binge eat your favourite foods and again get back to your healthy diet during the weekdays.

But what if its not helping you? Cheat days don't work for food addicts as they again discontinue their diets once they taste their favourite stuff.
So, what to eat on weekends? Well, it totally depends upon you. If you have the discipline to handle cheat days gracefully, eat whatever you wish to on a Sunday and again get back to normal dieting on Monday.

But if controlling yourself is tough then here are some tips to manage the situation. Dieting is first about self-control and then about food choices. Also, remember that helathy foods help your mind stay disciplined.
Drink Hot Water
After waking up, start your day with a glass of warm water. Add a few drops of lemon to your water to boost your digestive system.
Don't eat Outside
Be determined to eat at home instead of going to a restaurant. During weekends, we generally prefer to eat out. But cooking at home can offer healthier meals and you will also be burning some calories while you sweat out in the kitchen.
Keep White Stuff Away
White rice, white bread and refined flours are the problem. Keep them away and embrace brown bread and whole grains, even during the weekend.
Drink Water Before Meals
Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before a major meal. This will help you eat less. Also, if you are going out to attend a dinner party, drink lots of water and go; you may eat less.
Eat More Salads; Not Biriyani
Even if you prepare Biriyani or any other food, try to eat more of salads and less of your Biriyani. The Biriyani will satisfy your cravings and the salad will anyway provide nutrients and make you eat less of Biriyani.
Say No To Sweets, Sugar And Coffee
At least on a Sunday stay away form coffee as you don't need to work. Also, keep sweets and sugary drinks at a distance.
No Ketchup On Weekends
Ketchup, dressings, toppings and other processed foods are a 'no' at least on weekends as you have time to cook and time to care for your health.
Don't Stay Deprived
Don't stay deprived as you may tend to overeat when you approach the dining table with hunger. Keep munching a salad every 2 hours on a Sunday. This may also curb your cravings for snacks.
