For her fitness, she gives credits to her mother for making her follow a strict diet regime. To get rid of those extra pounds, Sonam says that she had to give up her favouritism for chocolates and ice creams.

Low carb high protein and 5 meals a day is the celebrity's diet secret. Here is some details about her day to day meal plan.

She begins her day with big glass of luke warm water, honey and lime juice.

Celebrity Diet Plan:
Breakfast: Fruits and cereal (oatmeal)
Afternoon Snack: Protein shake, brown bread with egg white
Lunch: Salad with roti, dal and grilled chicken or fish
Evening Snack: Brown bread with egg white
Dinner: Soup, salad and grilled chicken or fish

To curb her hunger pangs in between, she prefers fruits and nuts. When she is on travel, she keeps her body hydrated by drinking tender coconut, cucumber juice and buttermilk.

Sonam Kapoor's Exercise Regime

Her day to day workouts include weight training, yoga and pilates. In her free time she even plays squash and does swimming. This routine helped her lose nearly 30 kilos in a year.
