Chocolate Banana Pancakes For Breakfast

Serves - 3
Preparation Time - 30 minutes
Cooking Time - 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Baking powder - ½ tbsp
  • White Sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Salt - ½ tbsp
  • Buttermilk - 2 cups
  • Banana - 2 nos (chopped)
  • Egg - 1 nos
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Water - 2 cups

Procedure

  1. In a clean dry bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, white sugar, buttermilk, egg and the salt.
  2. To the mixture, add in a cup of water to make a not so thick batter.
  3. When the batter is done, on a medium flame, heat a tava.
  4. Pour a little water on the tava to test if it is hot to start frying the pancakes.
  5. Pour a little batter in the middle of the tava and in a circular motion make a pancake.
  6. Let it cook for about 5 seconds and flip it on the other side
  7. Your pancake is completely cooked when its turns a golden brown in colour.
  8. Remove the chocolate pancake from the tava and place it on a clean dry plate.
  9. Add the chopped bananas to the hot pancakes.
  10. You can garnish the chocolate banana pancake with a drop of maple syrup to enhance the taste.
