What can be the easiest and tastiest way of cooking without potatoes. Potatoes are a must in every household around the globe. Our recipe for the day is the “Mashed Potato Recipe", the most traditional recipe (since 300 years) in both European and American countries.

Mashed potatoes recipe is said to be originated from the French cuisine, however, the tasty recipe is prepared world wide for all the occasions.

Mashed Potato Recipe -

Ingredients -

1. Potatoes - 1 kg

2. Salt - 1 tsp

3. Milk - 1/2 cup

4. Cream (thick) - 1/2 cup

5. Butter - 7 tbsp

6. Salt to taste

7. Pinch of Pepper

Method -

1. Slice the cleaned Potatoes into quarters.

2. Put the sliced potatoes in a pressure cooker, add enough cold water and see to it the water covers the potatoes upto inch or so.

3. Add salt and pressure cook for 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

4. Drain the potatoes and set aside to cool.

5. Cook potatoes on low heat until the excess water is drained off.

6. Mash the potatoes with the help of a ricer and set aside.

7. Blend cream and milk together (For those who are diet conscious can use only milk without cream).

8. Mix the mashed potatoes and with butter and milk-cream mixture.

9. Season with salt and pepper.

10. Tasty mashed potato recipe is ready to serve.
