Vrat Ke Palak Pakora Recipe: How To Make Palak And Kuttu Ka Atta Pakora
Vrat ke palak pakora is a traditional North Indian snack that is prepared during festivals and is made of buckwheat or kuttu ka atta. Here is a detailed procedure along with images and a video.
The vrat ke palak pakora is an authentic snack that is prepared in North India, especially during fasts or upvas. These pakoras are made of buckwheat, as normal besan and atta cannot be used at the times of fasts.
The buckwheat has a strong aroma, which combined with spinach and other spices, makes it an utterly mouth-watering snack during fasts. The pakoras are soft and fluffy inside and generally go well with the phalahari green chutney.

Palak leaves (washed and cut) - 1 medium-sized bowl
Kuttu atta (buckwheat) - 1 medium-sized bowl
Rock salt - 2 tsp
Green chillies (chopped) - 1 tsp
Roasted peanuts - 4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Chaat masala - 1 tsp
Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Water - ¼th cup
Oil for frying

1. Add palak leaves to a large bowl.
2. Add kuttu ka atta, rock salt and green chillies in the bowl.
3. Then, add the roasted peanuts and red chilli powder.
4. Further, add chaat masala and jeera powder.
5. Mix well.
6. Add water little by little and knead well into a medium-firm dough.
7. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
8. Pour a spoonful of the dough in the heated oil using your hands.
9. Fry the pakoras till they turn brown on all sides.
- 1. You can use singhare ki atta instead of kuttu ke atta.
- 2. In case of vrat, the chaat masala can be eliminated or you can make it with home-made chaat masala that has rock salt in it.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE VRAT KE PALAK PAKORA RECIPE
1. Add palak leaves to a large bowl.

4. Further, add chaat masala and jeera powder.
5. Mix well.
