Phalahari ki chutney is a simple yet traditional chutney that is prepared to accompany snacks during Vrats. Here is a step-by-step procedure along with images and a video.
Phalahari green chutney recipe is a condiment that is commonly prepared during Vrats and is an accompaniment for all the Vrat snacks like Sabudana tikki, sweet potato tikki, palak pakora, etc..
Also known as the vrat-wale green chutney, this condiment is made of coriander, green chillies and lemon. The phalahari ki chutney is a simple chutney that is tangy and spicy. This delicious chutney is extremely easy and can be made in a jiffy.
Since it is prepared during vrats, this chutney contains no onions and garlic. So if you would like to make a simple chutney to accompany your snacks, you can follow the step-by-step procedure with images to prepare the phalahari green chutney. Also, watch the video recipe attached.

Coriander leaves (washed) - 1 bunch
Green chillies - 2
Lemon - 1
Jeera powder - 2 tsp
Rock salt - 2 tsp
Water - ¼th cup

1. Cut the coriander bunch.
2. Then, cut the green chillies and lemon.
3. Add the cut coriander to a mixer jar.
4. Add the chillies in the jar.
5. Further, add jeera powder and rock salt.
6. Add water and grind it into a smooth consistency.
7. Squeeze the cut lemon on it and mix well.
8. Transfer into a serving bowl.
- 1. You can use normal salt instead of rock salt.
- 2. You can add coconut to it to give it a different flavour and texture.
