She Was His Loyal Follower

Eva Braun was 23 years younger than Hitler and she was a loyal follower of him for more than 16 years. The dictator at one point of time had even compared her loyalty with his dog, Blondi, on whom he had tested the poison before he consumed it.

Their First Meeting...

Apparently, Hitler had first met Eva when she was just 17 years old and he was 40 years. She was a photography assistant back then. She fell in love with him in no time while her entire family opposed their relationship. Eventually she even married him.

He Never Allowed Her To Express Her Love For Him

The great dictator that Hitler was, he never wished to share his love life with the world. He projected himself as someone who only loves his country, at the same he wanted to look appealing to his female followers. She was by his side for 16 years, but he didn't marry her until the last moment.

He Investigated About Her Family Before He Dated Her...

He doubted her blood as he felt she had Jewish blood. He investigated thoroughly about her family and relatives and dated her only after he found out that she was pure Aryans.

Eva's Side Of Love Story...

On the other hand, Eva's diary tells an entirely different story, as it reveals about how Hitler controlled her, and did not allow her to smoke or drink and dance or even meet with anyone in public. In her diary, she also revealed that Hitler only loved her when it was convenient for him.

She Had Tried Committing Suicide Before She Got Married To Him...

During her bad times, Eva Braun has attempted to kill herself in 1932 and then again in 1935. Apparently, she was depressed with the way her life was heading.

They Got Married To Only Die Together...

All her life for 16 long years Eva had only one wish, and that was to marry Hitler. Fortunately/unfortunately her dream came true, after which the newly married couple killed themselves by committing suicide on April 29th, 1945.

His Strange Will Before His Death

Though Hitler made Eva wait for so many years and got married to her, he drew his will just before his wedding. His will read: "I and my wife, to escape the disgrace of deposition or capitulation, choose death. It is our wish to be burnt immediately on the spot where I have carried out the greatest part of my daily work in the course of a twelve years' service to my people."
