According to the Ayurvedic studies, the roof of the nasal cavity is said to have many nerve endings. And the left part of the nose is generally associated with the female reproductive organs.

According to the belief, piercing the left side of the nose of a woman is believed to strengthen the woman's womb and also suppress the menstrual and childbirth pain.

In Ayurveda, it is explained that the human anatomy is designed in such way that when you suppress a particular nerve on the outer left part of the nostril, it will result in an easier childbirth process and a less amount of pain during labour for a woman.

According To The Vedic Scriptures
According to the Vedic scriptures, the left part of woman's body is connected with the female reproductive organs and hence, it is advised to always go for nose piercing on the left side.
Even though there has been no scientific study to prove this notion, this practice is still held highly auspicious in a woman's life.
