This Is A True Story...
This is a true story, where a girl named Colleen Stan who was just 20 years was kidnapped and raped for 7 long years by a couple whom she met while she was trying to hitchhike on the roadside.

The Accused...
The accused couple named Cameron and Janice Hooker are said to have picked her up in their car after spotting Colleen on the roadside looking for a ride to hike. The poor girl did not suspect them, as they had a baby in the car, hence she felt she was quite safe with them.

When Things Took An Ugly Turn...
Within an hour into the journey, Colleen was threatened with a knife and her mouth was gagged and her hands were tied up and she was taken to the couple's house in Red Bluff, California.

What Happened Next...
She was kept in a wooden box under the bed of the couple and she had to sleep in that wooden box from the year 1977 to 1984, and she was let out only to be raped.
Change Of Mind...
In August 1984, the wife of the rapist helped Colleen escape from the house and she later testified against her husband in court.
Culprit Arrested...
Since the wife helped the woman escape from the clutches of the insane man, she was granted immunity for her co-operation, and the man "Cameron" was sent to prison for 104 years! Justice was finally served in this case!
