It is only in India where you will find the oddest jobs. In India, people generally take up jobs that provide them bread and butter. When you visit India, one of the occupations you will find is manual scavenging. Though, it is illegal in India, many people, especially from rural areas, are still into this weird job.
In India, there are more than a million rural people who are hired for jobs such as ear cleaning, professional mourner and bird deterrents. These three types of oddest jobs in India pay very low wages, but still many opt for it.
WEIRD THINGS THAT HAPPEN 'ONLY' IN INDIA
In every nook and corner of India, you will find a handful of people who follow their passion although their jobs can be termed weird. For instance, snake charmers and palm readers are now a common unusual occupation in India.

Manual Scavengers
Though, this is an illegal and unusual occupation in India, there are a lot of people who are still doing this work. This nasty job is probably the worst occupation across the world.

Grave Digger
Taking out bones from the grave and digging a pit which is 6 feet deep is no fun at all. This unusual occupation in India is mostly seen in Christian cemeteries.

Dentist
If you have a degree from the States, you can run a clinic in India. If you are not blessed with that, then roadside dentistry could be your job!

Ear Cleaners
The worst and oddest job in India is sitting on the road with a placard which reads 'ear cleaners'. This occupation is common in northern parts of India but it pays very low wages.

Bird Deterrents
In some hotels in Jaipur, people are hired to scare off pigeons from the hotel's fountain. They use red flags which have crossed-out bird sign to shoo them away.

Dalit Cleaners
This is another odd job which is mostly done by Dalits. Their JD - Cleaning human excrement from toilets of India's upper-caste families using their bare hands.

Mourners
Whenever there is a death in the family, mourners are hired to make the scene more gloomy. To hire this set of people, a great amount is spent.

Laughter Therapists
To lead a healthy and happy life without stress, laughter is the best medicine. But for some, laughter does not come easy. Therefore, the need to hire a laughter therapist is essential.

Snake Charmers
The other weird and unusual occupation in India is that of snake charmers. You will find them on every street in North India.

Electrician
More than a million people who are enrolled in this occupation have unfortunate deaths. But, still there are large queue of people who are willing to take up this job.

Your future depends on this parrot! Strange, but true. This is no doubt one of the weird and oddest jobs in India.

Doormen
Treated more like slaves, these doormen have to stand the whole day catering to people who don't even appreciate their job.
