According to various sources, 12 dead monkeys were said to be found in the forest area. The locals and vets claimed that the tiger had apparently killed a man in the recent time, which would have created panic among the monkeys.

"The panel has told us that the reason of death of all the monkeys is the same; they had clots in their hearts. No poison was found in their bodies.
