She Did Not Have A Face When She Was Born, Yet She Survived
The doctors informed her parents that she would have only a few hours to live but she turned nine this month.
During birth, most of us wait to see the baby's face and what if the face alone is absent at the time of birth?
This is what happened in case of a girl who was born without a face and all that the doctors did was inform her parents that the baby would not even survive for more than a few hours!
This is something that happened 9 years back and now the young girl is celebrating her 9th birthday!

She Is…
She is Vitória Marchioli, from Barra de São Francisco, from Brazil. She was born with a genetic disorder 'Treacher Collins syndrome'. This condition has prevented 40 of her facial bones from developing properly.
Her Facial Features Were Displaced...
Her eyes, mouth and nose were displaced and according to the doctors, she would not have survived her first few hours of life. The doctors were scared to even hold her. They even refused to feed her, and informed the family to go home and wait for their daughter to die.
She Is A Survivor!
According to sources, she has reached her 9th birthday, minus the fact that the doctors assumption of she dying within hours was wrong, defying medics who say the only reason she is alive is due to her parents' thorough care and devotion.
Her Dad Revealed…
Her dad Ronaldo, 39, revealed: "Doctors can't explain how she has lived so long, but they believe it is down to our care and the love we have for her that has kept her alive. 'We're hoping to continue fundraising to give our daughter a better quality of life and giving her the best appearance we can. 'We fight for her so that she can look better and have a better quality of life. We love her and are thankful for having her alive."
