WIFW’15: Urvashi Kaur’s Breezy Silhouettes
Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2015 Spring Summer has been the journey of summer fashion at its best. Almost every collection at WIFW has given us clothes that can be worn in the hot Indian summer. Urvashi Kaur's WIFW 2015 collection also maintains the easy breezy flavour of the season.
First of all, she uses cotton. Secondly, the designs are all very airy aimed at keeping your body temperature cool in the summers. We saw a number of breezy silhouettes in Urvashi Kaur's WIFW 2015 collection. Most of silhouettes played on the prints. There were checks, stripes and also block prints used on the outfits.

What was most inspiring was to see the return of Baatik prints. This is a typical hand block print that is very popular in Bengal. Some of the sarees and silhouettes were adorned using Baatik prints. Most of the outfits were composed with more than one type of print. We particularly liked a saree that had Baatik prints, stripes as well as checks.
The colour palate of Urvashi Kaur's WIFW 2015 collection was Indigo. This is a very popular colour for summers. The indigo was interspersed with white, black and prints to create a beautiful effect. Day 4 of WIFW 2015 surely belongs to cotton as the best fabric for summers.
