3 Super Bizarre Uses For Eggs You Definitely Didn’t Know!
Eggs are a staple in our kitchens, serving as the primary ingredient in dozens of recipes. But did you know that eggs can do more than just make a delicious meal?
1. Sink cleaner
Ever found yourself struggling with a slow-draining sink? Crushed eggshells can be your solution. Placing them in the strainer of your sink can help break down particles and debris, preventing clogs from forming.

As water flows through, the jagged edges of the shells act like a natural scouring agent, aiding in the breakdown of potential blockages. Just remember to replace the eggshells periodically for optimal results.
2. Jewellery makeover with eggs
Eggs contain sulphur, which can work wonders on certain types of jewellery. If you have jewellery made of sterling silver (.925 or lower), you can enhance its appearance with a simple egg yolk treatment.

Hard boil 1-2 eggs, crumble the egg yolks and place them at the bottom of a container. Lay your jewellery on top of the crumbled egg yolks, separated by a layer of 1-2 paper towels. Seal the container and allow it to sit at room temperature for a few days.
Afterwards, rinse the jewellery thoroughly with soap and water to remove any residual odour.
3. Leather cleaner
Egg whites are not just for omelettes; they can also be a saviour for your leather items. To clean and restore the shine to leather, whisk some egg whites and apply a thin layer to the affected area.

Gently scrub the egg white into the leather. The proteins in the egg whites bond with residue, making it easier to remove.
Wipe away the egg white, and you'll be left with clean, shiny leather. This natural method is a fantastic way to refresh your leather goods without the use of harsh chemicals.
