During monsoon, it is very hard to keep a check on your pet, as he is dirty the next minute you give him a bath. Dogs are hydrophobic and wouldn't like to get wet but the damp paws collect a lot of dirt and spoil the interiors like carpets, foot mats, rugs, bedding etc. Today we would want to discuss on how one can take a good care of pets during monsoon season.

1. Monsoon Dog Shirts – The wet fur and muddy paws in pets can cause a lot of fungal, yeast infections and may result in a lot of discomfort. Sometimes the infections may even cause death so it is important to keep the fur dry. A hairdryer or a room heater can be used to dry the damp fur and then trendy monsoon dog shirts can protect them from getting wet again. Dry shampoos and paper towels will help in cleaning the pets instead of giving it a bath in the cold season.

2. Monsoon Dog Trend – Since there ears, paw and fur are more prone infection, the long hairs of the dogs like the Retriever, Cocker Spaniel can be trimmed short. The ears and paws also need cleaning so used cotton swabs to remove all the fine dirt. One of the hints to test if you have done a good cleaning is by seeing if your dog is licking itself. The less it licks the cleaner is its body. Even the claws collect dirt so try to trim them to avoid infection.

Monsoon Pet Play - It is hard to take pets for a walk everyday during rainy season so making your dogs climb up the stairs and leaving it freely in your closed indoor garden will keep the dogs active. 4. Monsoon Pet Diet – Food also plays a very important role in pet care during monsoon. The pet diet should mainly consist of fiber rich food like banana that help pets who suffer from indigestion. Dairy products need to avoided as for some it may be allergic. Also maintaining a good hygiene through cleaning your bowls and pet chews will help. A balanced diet and regular exercise will keep your pets healthy in the wet season.

5. Monsoon Pet Beds – Your all time pal needs a warm, dry area to sleep so avoid making your pets sleep in its house outdoor. Maintain a basket with a comfortable bedding as the cold floors may harm it even more.
