Most of us would already be aware of the importance of drinking water and how an optimum level of water is needed in order to maintain a healthy body.
As we know, adults should drink at least 2 litres of water in a day. Otherwise, one can suffer from various ailments caused by dehydration.
We are familiar with that sense of satisfaction we attain when we drink water after a heavy meal, a workout session or if we had been thirsty for a while.
Drinking water, when you are extremely thirsty, is said to be one of the best feelings in the world!
However, anything in excess could prove to be problematic. While it is not harmful for you health, if you drink water in excess, just the whole ordeal of feeling thirsty constantly can be quite frustrating.
Imagine you are in the middle of an important meeting or travelling, if you are constantly feeling thirsty, even after drinking enough water, it can make you feel distracted and tired!

1. Excess Salt
If you are using too much salt in your diet, it can make you feel constantly thirsty, as salt can dehydrate the cells of your body, making them crave for more water.

2. Morning Exercise
While morning exercise is a good habit, it can also make you feel thirsty throughout the day, as your body loses a lot of water and electrolytes when you sweat it out in the morning.

3. Diabetes
If you are constantly feeling thirsty, it is a good idea to get yourself checked for diabetes, as frequent urination, which is a condition faced in diabetes, can make you feel more thirsty.

4. Xerostomia
Xerostomia is a rare disorder that causes dryness in the mouth due to inactive salivary glands, thus making you constantly feel thirsty!

5. Anaemia
If you are suffering from iron deficiency or anaemia, your body cells become deprived of fluids, thus making you feel dehydrated and thirsty all the time.

6. Medication
Certain medications like anti-depressants, antibiotics, etc., can induce dehydration, thereby making you crave for water constantly.

7. Being Out In The Sun
If you have a job that requires you to stay under the sun for long hours, or if you workout or walk in the sun regularly, chances are that your body gets dehydrated at the end of the day, making you feel thirsty!
