7 Easy Tips For Losing Weight During Ramzan
The season of Ramzan is finally here and the festive spirit makes this month of the year a time to be cherished!
Ramzan is that time of the year which involves fasting, as well as enjoying some exotic delicacies!
Haleem, dahi vadas, kebabs and a whole array of some mouth-watering dishes are enjoyed by many people during Ramzan.
During the holy month of Ramzan, two meals are served in a day - Suhoor and Iftar. Suhoor is the meal that is consumed before dawn and Iftar is the meal that is consumed after sunset.
And in between Suhoor and Iftar, people observe a fast. Since there is quite a long gap between the first and the second meal, people often tend to over-indulge in eating, which may lead to them gaining weight further.
Also, if you are already struggling with weight issues and want to lose weight, then there are some diet tips that you can follow during Ramzan, which can help you get to an ideal weight.
Check out these useful tips that can help you with your weight loss regimen during Ramzan, here!

Tip #1
Ensure that the first meal of the day, Suhoor, is healthy and balanced. Try to avoid eating dishes that are too spicy or oily and include a lot of vegetables, fruits and lean meat for that meal.

Tip #2
Avoid skipping Suhoor, as it is the first meal of the day, and eating right during that time will keep you active and energised for the rest of the day. Also, skipping this meal can slow down your metabolic rate and weaken the fat-burning capacity of the body.

Tip #3
Ensure that you drink plenty of water, fruit juices, lassi, etc, during the two meals, as keeping yourself hydrated is very important to get your metabolism going, which helps with weight loss.

Tip #4
Ensure that you include foods that are high in protein and fibre content, especially for the Iftar, as this meal is the last meal of the day and loading up on proteins, healthy fats and fibres can work up your metabolism process throughout the night to help burn calories.

Tip #5
Try to stay active as much as possible throughout the day. Since you are fasting, you may feel tired quickly; however, you can involve yourself in certain mild exercises like walking, sit-ups, squats, etc. Exercise combined with fasting can quicken the process of weight loss.

Tip #6
Since there is a tasty variety of sweets all around you during Ramzan, it may be difficult to resist them. However, if you want to lose weight, substitute the sweets with dates, fruits and juices instead.

Tip #7
Lastly, self-control and will are very important if you want to lose weight, especially during the festive seasons, when there are a lot of delicious dishes around you. Tune your mind in order to stay healthy and fit, and you will definitely achieve your weight loss goal!
