One Yummy Homemade Drink To Reduce Cholesterol
With the mouth-watering array of foods available today, it is quite easy for us to lose our self-control and gorge on our favorite foods like there is no tomorrow!
But, did you know that over-eating can lead to various other health complications?
Yes, over-eating is harmful for your health and can cause conditions like obesity, hypertension, digestive disorders, cholesterol, joint pain and much more!
Although it is understandable that it may be hard to exercise self-control when it comes to tasty food, it is advisable to watch what you eat and stick to a healthy diet, in order to avoid health complications.
Cholesterol is a fatty substance found in your bloodstream that helps in the production of certain hormones and also aids in various body functions.
However, if the amount of cholesterol in the blood is higher than the normal level, it can lead to serious disorders.
High cholesterol in the bloodstream can lead to the formation of plaque in the arteries, which may cause conditions such as coronary diseases, high blood pressure, etc.
Also, high blood cholesterol is said to be one of the main reasons for fatal heart attacks.
So, it is important to ensure that you lead a healthy lifestyle to keep your cholesterol levels under control.
If you are looking for a homemade remedy that can help reduce cholesterol, then you must definitely try this yummy banana and orange drink!
Recipe For Preparing The Drink
Ingredients Required:
- Banana - 1
- Orange - 1
- Cinnamon powder - ½ teaspoon
- Soy milk - ½ cup
Banana is rich in vitamins, potassium and antioxidants that help in detoxifying your bloodstream effectively, thereby aiding in the elimination of the plaque layer formed in the walls of your arteries.
The vitamin C content in orange is also known to be great in reducing high blood cholesterol, as vitamin C has fat-burning properties. The combination of banana and orange work together to gradually rid your system off of the high cholesterol.
Soy milk is infused with proteins and has lesser fat content when compared to regular milk, therefore it nourishes your body without adding on the extra calories. Cinnamon is added to the drink for taste.
How It's Done:
- Add the suggested amounts of ingredients in a blender.
- Grind for a few minutes, until you obtain the juice.
- Empty the juice into a glass.
- Your health drink is now ready for consumption.
- Drink 1 glass of this healthy shake every morning, on an empty stomach to reduce cholesterol.
