Heart Health Tips To Keep BP Under Control

According to the director of education and outreach at the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Holly Andersen spreads the awareness of taking care of your heart. Her ways to improve heart health and overall well-being is stated below.
1. Before you set out to help yourself, make the first step to note down your blood pressure numbers, cholesterol and triglyceride levels so that you will know from which point to start from and which needs immediate attention for a good heart health.
2. Exercise is the next best tips to improve heart heath. Half an hour is ample enough time to keep you healthy and out of dangers from various other health issues. It is also said that walking for half an hour reduces the risk of early death.
3. 'Laughing helps one to live longer', this famous statement is however true. According to Holly Andersen, she says that laughter is the best medicine for heart health. It is true that 15 minutes of laughter is about equivalent to 30 minutes of aerobic exercise.
4. A good night's sleep is very important. An average individual needs about 7 to 8 hours of sleep at night. Important for good health as it is also vital for regulating blood pressure and also helps one to be in the right mood throughout the day.
