One simple body weight exercise that is highly beneficial to your abs is the plank exercise. This workout isn't so difficult but delivers so many benefits.

How does it help? Well, it develops your core strength. Why do you need core strength? Well, your core muscles support your spine and back. So, your body needs a strong core even to move.
