Want To Lose Weight Quickly? Then Eat These Many Calories Per Day!
Check out this calorie chart and make your way to healthy weight loss!
One of the first things that come to a person's mind when he/she embarks on a journey to lose weight is the word 'calories', right?
Because, it has been ingrained in our minds that watching what we eat and minding the amount of calories that we ingest could be directly proportional to the rate at which we lose weight!
Well, calories definitely matter when it comes to losing weight; however, weight loss involves a lot of other factors too!
Consuming too little calories can also affect weight loss negatively and make a person very unhealthy.
Calories can be defined as units of energy derived from the food that a person ingests which is used to perform various activities and also aid the organs to function well.
If we do not take in enough calories in a day, then it could become difficult for our body to perform its functions, causing fatigue, headache and other such ailments.
On the other hand, when we consume more calories than required, these units of energy get converted into fat, as they are not being used by the body and they are stored as fat cells, making you gain weight.
So, when it comes to consuming the right amount of calories, many people get confused.
That's because, different food items have different caloric values and they increase with quantity.
So, if you want to lose weight successfully, you must first learn about the caloric value of your diet, by looking up how many calories are contained in the things you consume.
This is made easy now, as there are a number of apps and online websites that let you know how many calories your meals contain, in a matter of minutes!
Along with watching your calories, it is also important to exercise and get checked for conditions that could be causing weight gain.
So, here is some information on how many calories one must consume in a day to lose weight.
Calories VS Weight Loss:
Now, as we read before, a certain amount of calories is required to keep the human body energised and allow it to perform the daily activities with ease.
The number of calories a person must consume in a day, largely depends on the age, gender and physical activity performed in a day by that person.
So, if you are a man between the ages of 19-30, who is very active throughout the day, then you must consume 2600-2800 calories per day.
If you are an active adult woman, between the ages of 19-30, you can consume 2000-2200 calories in a day.
The above caloric value holds good only for people who have a healthy weight and are not trying to lose weight.
So, if you are someone who is trying to lose weight, then you must subtract 500 calories from the daily amount required.
For example, a man trying to lose weight must consume around 2000 calories, while a woman trying to lose weight must consume about 1500 calories.
When you consume lesser amount of calories, the fat reserve stored in your body will be converted into energy to help perform the daily activities, thus allowing you to lose weight faster.
