According to nutritionists, people who are on a weight loss programme should consume foods which are low in calories. For example, have honey instead of sugar, green tea instead of tea, and raw veggies instead of cooked vegetables. However, you must be aware that there are certain foods that don't let you lose weight no matter what.
People who are dying to get a size zero figure are the ones who are after these list of foods with false promises. The foods you should be eating must be healthy when compared to the tons of junk that are available in stores.
Turning to foods that don't let you lose weight will not help you accomplish your desired goal. However, the positive thing about these foods is that they will help you to keep your calorie intake in control. Consuming these foods that are less promising in weight loss are good in a way as they do not add to the calories.

Honey
Bread dripping with honey might seem healthy. But, in terms of losing weight, it is not a good choice. Since honey is denser, one tablespoon of honey contains more calories than the same sized spoonful of granulated sugar. This is one of the foods that do not cut fat in the body.

Salads
The other food that don't let you lose weight is salads that are topped with sauces and mayonnaise. These two ingredients over your so called healthy salads will form a layer around your heart, causing a blockage and leading to a heart attack. It will also add to the kilos as sauce and mayonnaise has fat content that is much higher than normal butter.

Raw Veggies
If you are thinking that you can lose weight with raw veggies, then you are wrong. This fake food for weight loss will not give you enough of vitamin and proteins to help burn calories while working out. The best is to opt for veggies that are steamed or boiled without salt.

Diet Drinks
When you opt for diet drinks, your tummy gets a lot hungrier. The contents present in diet drinks cause the stomach to urge for more. Thus, you will be consuming more than usual. On the other hand, the sugar content present in diet drinks is almost the same compared to a normal beverage.

Skimmed Milk
Many turn to skimmed milk to lose weight and stay healthy. But, whole milk contains about 4 per cent fat in 100ml as opposed to 20 per cent deemed to be present in the 'high fat' category. Research shows that skimmed milk contains 0.1 per cent fat as well. So switching from whole to skimmed milk will not make a huge difference in weight loss.

Cereals
One of the foods that don't let you lose weight is the n number of cereals lying on your breakfast table. According to a research, a box of cereals could be a healthy choice. Otherwise, selection of a wrong box of cereal can be equal to a slice of cake, filled with sugar and fat.

Green Tea
Many people turn to green tea to burn the calories. But, green tea doesn't help that much if you do not hit the gym regularly. Green tea is a good immunity booster which helps you to work out more at the gym, but it doesn't add to cutting down in calories.

Almonds
Though almonds are considered to be a healthy snack, it doesn't help burn calories. The oil present in almonds, however, adds a certain amount of weight than you would have lost in the grams. It is one of the fake foods for weight loss.
