It is often called a pseudoscience or trans-science and is based on the principle that all parts of the plant; from its flower, leaves, resins, seeds and stalk, have medicinal and beneficial properties.

Using Ayurveda for treating acne is highly beneficial, as it doesn't come with any side effects. Especially for those with a sensitive skin, Ayurvedic remedies are the best. It contains the most natural ingredients and it not only treats the condition but also rejuvenates the skin.

Acne is caused by clogged skin pores because the sebaceous glands produce excess sebum and fill up the pores. It is mostly caused by trapping of the bacteria like propionibacterium that causes infection, resulting in pimples or acne.

Acne can not only be really irritating but poses health problems too. It leads to an increase in inflammatory components in the body and can lead to hypertension, darkening of the skin and crusting.

1. Manjistha And Honey

Take a teaspoon of manjistha and mix it in honey to make a thick paste. You can also make it in bulk and store it in the refrigerator. Apply this paste on the acne and leave for half an hour. Wash it with plain water. Repeat it 2-3 times in a week for best results.

2. Dhania, Vasa And Sugandhi Root Powder

Make powders of Dhania seeds, Vasa seeds, and Sugandhi separately and store them in separate containers (100 g each). Take equal parts of the three powders and mix it in cow's milk to make a thick paste. Apply it on your entire face and leave it overnight. Wash it with plain water. It clears the skin and reduces redness.

Crush camphor, or Karpur, in a little bit of ghee. Grind tulsi leaves and add to it. Mix it well and apply it on the areas where the acne is present. Leave it overnight on your face and wash in the morning with plain water. Repeat it four to five times in a week for best results.

Take one turmeric stick, a few leaves of tulsi and camphor. Make a paste of turmeric sticks in water, add ground tulsi leaves to it and crush one tablet of camphor. Apply it and leave it overnight and wash it off with water the following morning.

Mix 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and apply it all over your face and leave it overnight. Wash it off with water in the morning. Turmeric powder is antiseptic in nature and kills the bacterium that causes acne, while aloe gel acts as a moisturiser.

Take old sesame powder (minimum of 6 months of standing) and mix it with some cow urine to make a thick paste. Apply it on your acne and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash with plain water and moisturise immediately.
