We adopt to various means and methods to give our hair the best possible treatment. However, the irony is that there is no one proper method or process to follow.

One person’s hair differs from another person’s hair. What suits one type of hair may not be suitable for the other. The washing, combing and caring processes for each type of hair can differ.

This leaves almost all to experiment and come up with what is best for oneself. In this regard, the most perplexed are those with curly hair. How to take care of curly hair?

Those who have straight hair find the curls to be very attractive and beautiful. They too desire to get those curls and many do get it done, but that is temporary.

Those born with curly hair would tell you what it is like taking care of and managing their curly hair.

A lot of care and patience is required when handling curls. The smaller the curls, the more difficult the task becomes. If these curls get tangled, the difficulty increases all the more.

If you own curly hair then you can follow these small tips and make hair management task a little simpler.

Wash regularly:

There is no alternative to clean hair. Be it straight, wavy or curly, it is necessary to keep it clean. Dust and grime can damage all types of hair and the scalp.

The dirt clinging on to the scalp can lead to various kinds of infections too. And combing clean hair is far easier than combing grimy hair.

Oil regularly:

Curly hair tends to look dry in most cases. The reason for this is the curls themselves. The natural oils secreted by the scalp cannot reach down to all the strands, as it is difficult to go through all the curls.

This leaves the hair looking dry and the scalp a little extra oily. In order to nourish your hair and have a great post-wash look, oil your hair regularly. Oiling is every grandmother's best method for great hair and they have always been correct.

No brushing:

When figuring out how to take care of curly hair, do not go by the "hundred brush strokes every night" rule. This works for straight hair, but for curly hair it has to be the comb. The comb moves smoothly through the curls, whereas a brush may get entangled.

Apply hair packs:

Hair packs can do wonders for the hair and scalp. As far as possible try to go for your own home-made mixes because these are simpler and safer.

No chemicals means no damage. And you can make a pack as per your choice, and be sure of what you are applying.

Use a conditioner:

When taking care of curly hair, conditioning becomes very important. Tangles in curly hair are more likely than straight hair. And to add on to the trouble, it is more difficult to untangle curls.

Conditioners provide a protective layer to the hair strands and prevent them from getting tangled to a great extent. The less tangles your hair has, the fewer amount of hair breaks you will suffer.

Untangle when wet:

It is best to untangle knots in a curly hair type when the hair is still wet. Since the conditioner makes it easier to comb, the tangles will also be easy to get rid of. The question of how to take care of curly hair is rather troublesome, yet solutions have to be sought.

Keep it simple:

Curly hair is in itself a style. Ask those who do not have those beautiful-looking curls. If you are blessed with curls, enjoy them.

You are born with a great-looking hairstyle. Why ruin that style by trying to make it look any different? Keep your styling simple and minimal. Not only will you be looking great, your hair will also be stress free.

So, how to take care of curly hair? We have given you some tips, but you need to check what works best for your hair and modify treatments accordingly. After all, you know your hair best.
